Default why the spew about Vista

I have to say upfront that I am still running XP-pro. But a local computer group that I belong to seems to echo the same negativity that permeates forums all over. Yet those members that have Vista on their machine don't seem to have the (reported) issues that scares others away. Is it just backlash to the Microsoft Marketing Machine ? Or a conspiracy of sorts? I suppose I'll try Vista eventually, but meanwhile I have been experimenting with various flavors of Linux (Ubuntu, Kubunto, Mandriva, openSUSE, Fedora, Knoppix[yech] and so on). Part of the advantage of having several computers with several HDD's each...

The fact of the matter is, Vista, overall, has fewer issues than XP.

Wanna see something cool?

That's been my experience, too... people just HEAR that Vista is horrible and they just run with it rather than try it out for themselves.

There are far more compatibility issues with the 64-bit flavor of Vista, and yet there is way more support than XP-64. There's very little that I haven't been able to get around.

I can never go back to XP, except for building a NAS box on a VIA EPIA board or something.
